History

The Blue Moose Bar & Grill opened in March of 1994 and is locally owned.  The Blue Moose was originally located at 108 Demers Ave., very close to the river.  The 1997 flood left its mark on the Blue Moose, but didn’t keep it down for long.  The Blue Moose reopened May 28th, 1997 after major flood repair work.  Plans for a new dike system ran across The Blue Moose’s property, so on Oct. 4th, 1998 the restaurant closed its doors, moving to its current location.  We reopened again on Jan. 18th, 1999 with a larger kitchen and deck while adding the Minnesota Room.  The Blue Moose had one more major remodel in 2007.  The bar was moved from the now middle dining area to the Minnesota Room.  The Minnesota Room then became the Back 40 Tap Room.

We pride ourselves in the quality of food we serve, the service we provide, the teamwork setting, and the unique atmosphere.
